March 18 Hello it's me again...Hey all,
I'm sorry I haven't bloged in awhile. It has been wicked busy here in my life. As you see the last time I wrote I had just finished a 4 day Lymph Drainage Therapy I (LDT) class. Well... I was at work that week plus Saturday and then 3 days the next week before I took LDT II this past week. The first class was a bit easier to stay on track because I got to stay with my parents and my mom made sure that I had what I needed as far as food options to stay in the groove (I only ate 3 meals out). For the class last week I was in a hotel for 4 nights and ate a total of 12 meals out. I don't knowabout all of you but I get sick of salads real quick... I did eat at least 1 a day while I was away. I tried to stay away from the not so good things (fries, white potatos, etc.) but that was hard too. Then there was the lack of movement. I normally get between 9-12 thousand steps in a day. I was getting 2-6 thousand in a day because of all the sitting in class. I manage to get to the pool two days for 20 min of laps. I love to swim lap! No, I really do! So that was great. All this to say I gained 2.4 pounds this week!
This week we are going skiing. I took a day off from work and Mike took 2 1/2 days off (his birthday is this week). We are headding up to VT tomorrow night with his sister's and will ski Thursday. Two days at an inn... This time better... We have an room with a kitchenett. So I will be cooking. Breakfast will be included both mornings... and they have a pool! Skiing... Swimming... Time to have those pounds come off!

I know all the right answers but I still have a hard time doing them! Tonight it is off to the gym before watching the biggest looser! This past week was hard... I was in class Thursday - Sunday... I am a massage therapist by trade and I was learning Lymph Drainage Therapy. Lecture. Lab, Break, Lecture, Lab, Lunch, Lecture, Lab, Break, Lecture, Lab... I learned a lot and brought food for most meals (I stayed with my parents while away from my home). By the end I was tempted and day 1 &2 they had a food out in the morning. I lost 1 pound and I would say that is from food control because I didn't get much exercise in. This week I am home next week I take the next course in the training of LDT. This time I am staying at a hotel, the couse is in a different town. I have booked a hotel with a pool.... I love to swim! The following week I'm at work Mon - Wed and then Wed night - Friday Mike and I are off on a ski trip with his two younger sisters. Again I booked an Inn with a pool and this time with a kitchenette. Swim wed, ski and swim Th and swim Friday morning. I am keeping my head high... I can do this I want to do this and I need to do this!

My husband and I went home for my family's annual Turkey Freeze. We had food, ate until I was comfortable but not gerat choices and next to no physical activity. That is why I gained 4 pounds! New week, new motivation! Lets kick some butt!

I don't know where you all are, I'm in New Hampshire and I know I have be struggling with the COLD (temp this moring was 4 degrees when I left for work at 8:30 am). Let me tell you the Walmart bargin DVD bin has been my frined. You are probally scratching your head thinking movies and weight loss what's the connection Jenn? Well the connection isn't movies... I often find work out DVD's in there. I have picked up DVD's for $1 to $5. It is a great way to get in a 20 min or more workout and stay indoors when the temp is to COLD (or to HOT). I also like to use them when I can't make it to the gym (the hours are 5:30 am to 9 pm). I have been known to pop in a DVD at Mdnight, after our guest of the day are gone and my husband has headed off to bed. I dread it and love it all at the same time!
Now for the colds in my title is for this tiem of year when many of us get sick. I work in a medical office which helps me not get as sick because of my increased exposure to all the illnesses going around. However a week ago monday I had the stomach thing that was going around up here. I went home early on Monday and again on Tuesday from work. Tuesday night I decided I may fell yucky but I could at least go walk on the treadmill for 20 min or so. So I did!
I don't know why I gained this week... I think it may have been from spending Friday morning skiing and working some serious muscle groups (which still are tender).
This week ramp it up! It is heart week... Love yourself faults and all! Happy Valentine's Day!

The Superbowl was a great night with friends new and old. I stayed even on my weight this week which I think is great! Yesterday I was down with a bug that is still kind of kicking my butt today. Makes it hard to eat correctly and get all my water in. Gym tonight? We will see... I wish I felt better! Ughhhh! Well till next time...
